The July 2023 update release for LogicVein’s ThirdEye and Net LineDancer products is now available.
We’ve added support for sending notifications for monitor violations to both Slack and Mattermost. In addition to this we expect to release support for Microsoft Teams next month.
For systems that contain thousands of maps we have made a couple of improvements that give a couple of orders-of-magnitude increase in UI responsiveness.
The algorithm for calculating which values should be included in a “time window” for determining monitor violations has been made a bit less fuzzy.
We’ve fixed an issue that would cause problems during an update if a system restore previously failed.
In this release we have fixed a memory leak that would occur for SNMP monitors when the SNMP credentials were not valid. This memory leak would very gradually cause the system to crawl to a halt and become unusable.
In order to stay up to date with security best practices, we have disabled hmac-sha1-etm as a supported cipher suite for the Terminal Proxy SSH server.
As always, we continue to refine our device support. This release includes improvements for the following adapters:
We’ve fixed an issue that would cause an excessive number of SNMP get requests to be made when trying to negotiate if SNMP v1 or v2 should be used. This applies to tools like the SNMP System Info tool as well as device backups using any adapters that collect information using SNMP.
We are continuing to harden the SmartBridge behavior and with this release. To this end we have resolved an issue where, in certain scenarios, SmartBridges (B-type) would not automatically reconnect after the core server restarted.
With this month’s release we have included quite a few very minor user interface improvements including simple label changes and better error handling.
