The August 2023 update release for LogicVein’s ThirdEye and Net LineDancer products is now available. (revision r20230829.1428)

 

ThirdEye

 

Microsoft Teams

As a continuation of our work on adding integrations with commonly used collaboration software, with this release we have added support for Microsoft Teams. You can now have ThirdEye send notifications for monitor violations to your Microsoft Teams channel.

 

Monitor Scalability

We’ve made significant improvements to the performance of the monitor data processing. The throughput on violation processing is now orders of magnitude faster.

 

Floating Point Metrics

In addition to integers (whole numbers), you now have the ability to generate floating point (decimal) values for custom ‘advanced’ metrics.

 

Net LineDancer

 

Device Support

As always, we continue to refine our device support. This release includes improvements for the following adapters:

  • Cisco Firepower and ASA (Security Appliance)
  • Cisco IOS
  • Dell SonicWALL
  • H3C/HPE Comware
  • Yamaha UTX New!

 

General

 

Product Version via SNMP

We’ve added the product revision number to the ifDescr. When the internal SNMP server is enabled, you can now easily query this value from external systems.

 

Security

Although we were likely not at risk for the recent openssl vulnerabilities, we have updated our internal ssl libraries to be extra sure. (openssl vulnerabilities: CVE-2023-0286 and CVE-2023-2650)
